My Favourite Manchester Velodrome Track Cycling Photo

I’ve just been looking back through some old pictures and came across this one. Taken at Manchester velodrome last year at one of the track cycling revolution meetings.

My client liked a similar shot that I’d taken at the world track champs earlier in the year.

A photo that took numerous tries to get. Low light and therefore slow shutter speeds, coupled with the cyclists movements did not make this shot an easy one to get. Handheld at 1/60th of a second too.

Nevertheless, I think my persistence paid off. I don’t think I could have got a sharper shot.

Fellrunner Magazine Photos

Several of my pictures were published in the Summer edition of Fellrunner magazine.

The front cover, a picture of my mate Simon Coldrick heading for the summit of Lantern Pike.

Plus a selection of others that I took at the May Queen Fell race, Mount Famine and the Lantern Pike dash which were used for a photo essay on the “Three Days in May” Hayfield race series organised by Pennine Fell Runners

There’s even a picture of my lad in his first ever fell race. :)

The rest of the races pictures can be found in the gallery.

Cycling Plus Nick Craig Photos

I’ve just remembered that I never got round to uploading these pictures.

Nick and I braved near freezing conditions earlier this year for this feature for Cycling Plus magazine. A great near 40 mile ride round the Peak District.

We sprinted from where we parked up to get the first shot with the rainbow. Or should I say, I sprinted to try and keep up with Nick.

Charlesworth and Chisworth Challenge Pictures

I’ve been busy sorting some pictures for a forthcoming MBR magazine article, but managed to nip over the hill to take a few shots of a local fell race.
